3 Stages to Earning What You’re Worth
You are earning today exactly the amount that you have decided to earn, no more and no less. The truth is, you have chosen your current income yourself and not your employer or client/customer.
You are where you are today because of the choices you made or the choice you refuse to make in terms of how much you are earning.
Like I once posted on my Facebook timeline that, “the sky is not your limit, but you are”. I see so many experts that are so good at what they do in their field but are not earning the amount of money that they are worth. It does piss me off whenever I come across people like that.
Sometimes they put the blame on the economy, government, the industry, the company, their competitors etc.
The only problem is that these people fail to realize that other people in their same field are earning 10X than they are earning irrespective of the so-called economy, industry or competitors.
In this post, I will be sharing with you three stages to earning what you’re worth in your field. I was once in the category of low earners in freelance writing but after I was showed how I can maximize my income at any time in any market and earn what I am really worth, my rate increased.
Today, I choose my own rate and never have to allow a client or economy to decide for me.
Brethren, you can earn what you are really worth if only you know what you are worth!
So, here are the stages you need to maximize your income at any time in any market.
- Change your Mindset
There are some people who just can’t believe they can be among the top 10% of high paying expert in their field no matter how hard you try to talk to them about it.
For you to attain that stage of earning what you are worth, you need to believe first that you’re worth more than your present income.
Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. So, you need to first believe that it is possible.
Make a Decision
Change your mindset that your present earning is caused by the economy, industry, your boss, competitors or the government.
What is the key to increasing your income? Make a decision! Make a decision, from this day forward, that you are going to earn the amount of money that you are truly capable of earning.
The best news is that the amount that you are truly worth is vastly higher than anything you have ever enjoyed up to the current day.
To think what you want to think is to think TRUTH, regardless of appearances. How you label yourself can determine how far you will go, it is your mindset that is telling that you are not yet worth a big pay.
- Increase your Earning Potential
For you to be able to maximize your income at any time in any market, you need to be able to earn that status.
You need to be able to position yourself among the top 10%-20% of the highest pay expert is your field. But how?
Start with your Values
How I can increase the value of my service to my company/clients/customers today? Today, excellence, quality, and value are absolutely essential elements of any product or service, and of the work of any person.
Your earning ability is largely determined by the perception of excellence, quality and value that others have of you and what you do.
The market only pays excellent rewards for excellent performance.
Your earning ability today is largely dependent upon your knowledge, your skill, and your ability to combine that knowledge and skill in such a way that you contribute value for which customers are going to pay.
Your education, knowledge, skills and experience all are investments in your ability to contribute a value for which you can be paid.
Once you have increased your earning ability which includes studying a subject in your field or learning a new skill, you can then command your fee or rate or salary as the case maybe.
- Increase your Rate
Yes! Just fucking do it. If you wait for client/customers/boss to do it, you will wait forever. You have already changed your mindset to believing that you are worth more than your present pay.
You have worked hard in increasing your earning ability by studying more and taking course to improve and expand your knowledge and skill.
You have started contributing great value even more than you are paid.
Isn’t time you get paid for what you are really worth or something close to it?
The decision to increasing your pay is left for you to make. When I discovered this, I raised my fee 200% to what I was being paid to write a blog post.
My mindset is changed, I have increased my earning potential and still doing it. Now, I get paid the amount I want to get paid and not what the client tells me.
You can earn that big pay.
You are worth it!
Come on board lets cruise!
